There will be a Memorial Service for William G. Battista at Holy Name Church on Saturday, June 17, 2017 with Mass at 10:30AM, followed by interment at Holy Name Cemetery. Bill grew up in Ebensburg, a graduate of Holy Name Elementary School and Cambria County High School. He attended St. Francis College and received a Bachelor’s Degree from St. Vincent University in Latrobe, PA, and Masters’ Degree from the University of Texas in Austin. Major Batttista served 20 years in the USAF as a Meteorologist and was a Vietnam Veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents, William J. and F. Marie Battista of Ebensburg, PA. He is survived by his wife, RoseAnn of Hartly, DE, son William G. Battista, Jr of Washington, DC, and daughter Rebecca A. Battista and her husband, Travis M. Erickson of Boone, NC; and sister, M. Suzanne Battista of Virginia.
