Obituary of Stella M. Fedorka

FEDORKA – Stella M. (Meshula), 93, of Colver, passed away peacefully June 21, 2017 at St. Benedict Manor, St. Benedict, Pa. Born October 4, 1923 in Carter Camp (Potter County), daughter of the late John and Anna (Senko) Meshula. Stella is preceded in death by her husband John and her son John Nicholas, and was the last surviving member of her immediate family of twelve. She is survived by her daughter Anita, married to Michael Shedlock, of North Huntingdon; son, James, and wife Michele Rose Fedorka, of Colver; and daughter Jean, married to Daniel Bukosky, of Blacklick, Pa. Also survived by 10 grandchildren: Michael, Jason, Patrick, & Aaron Shedlock; Nicola (Fedorka) Kendall, Jack, David, & Ashley Fedorka; and Craig & Scott Bukosky and 12 great-grandchildren. Stella was a member of the Holy Family Roman Catholic Church in Colver, and a member of the VFW Auxilary. She enjoyed her flower garden and baking. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday at Holy Family Church, the Rev. Bernard Grega, celebrant. Interment at Holy Name Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to her church or to the Colver Vol. Fire Company.
