VARGO - Olga M., 87, 403 E. High St., Ebensburg, went to Heaven on Nov. 6, 2005, at Laurel Crest Manor. She was born in Twin Rocks on June 14, 1918, daughter of Michael and Elizabeth (Takacs) Anderko. Preceded in death by parents and husband, Barney, whom she married on Sept. 1, 1940, and he passed away on March 22, 1973. Also preceded in death by brothers, Victor and Ernie. Survived by these sons: Paul, Jim and Terry, all of Florida, and Michael of Cresson; and daughters-in-law, Barbara, Dottie, Susan and Cathy. Loving grandmother of Paul Vargo, Tony Vargo, Christine Kaschalk, Tracy Davis, Susan Anderson, Jennifer Vargo, Jill Cavalet, David Vargo, Gregory Vargo and Lauren Vargo. Great-grandmother of Leah, Hannah, Emily and Caroline Davis; Trent Kaschalk; Madison Cavalet; and Christopher Vargo. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Sister of Bill, Roselle Park, N.J.; sisters-in-law, Elizabeth (Bershi) Lanzendorfer, Twin Rocks; Julie Orto, Youngstown, Ohio; and Irene Anderko, Linden, N.J. Olga and her husband operated the detention center in Ebensburg in the late 1960s. She worked as an aide in the former county home and later became a court clerk for Judge Arnold Smorto and Judge Eugene Creany. She was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church, Ebensburg, where she volunteered at church festivals, weddings and dinners. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Matevish and Matevish Funeral Home, Ebensburg, where vigil wake services will be held Tuesday evening. Funeral Mass, 11 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Name Catholic Church, Ebensburg, the Rev. Monsignor Arnold L. Gaus. Committal, St. Charles Cemetery, Twin Rocks.
