WRIGHT- PATRICIA A., 90, of Ebensburg, passed away peacefully October 4, 2017 at Richland Woods, Johnstown. Born March 19,1927 in Johnstown, daughter of the late Frederick W. and Dollie ( Howenstine ) Wright. Preceded in Death by sister, Nancy W Henry, Survived by brother-in-law, Leo D. Henry (Pete) of Johnstown, neices and nephews, Mary Beth Henry of Audubon, NJ, David and Debra Henry of Mount Joy, PA, Jane and Charles Johnson of Gainesville, VA, Ellen and Michael D'Auria of Cherry Hill, NJ, Fred Henry of Johnstown. A lifelong member of the Ebensburg Presbyterian Church where she served as an Elder, member of the Deacon Board, sang in the church choir and was a member of the Presbyterian Women's Association. She was a graduate of the Ebensburg -Cambria Schools, and Wilson College. She worked for The National Archives in Washington D.C. for a year, before embarking on a 30 plus year career, as an Archivist, with the Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations, in Rome Italy. She returned to live in Ebensburg in 1983, where she enjoyed playing and hosting bridge parties, and traveling around the world. She also was an active member for many years, of the Cambria County Historical Society. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: Southern Care Hospice Services, 1701 12th Avenue Building D Altoona, PA 16602 or Ebensburg Presbyterian Church 200 N. Center St. Ebensburg, PA 15931. At her request, there will be no viewing. UPDATE: A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, November 11TH, at the Ebensburg Presbyterian Church, the Rev. Alice Tandoro, officiating, Interment at Lloyd Cemetary, Ebensburg. Arrangements are in the care of Askew- Houser Funeral Homes, Inc, Ebensburg.
