DOERR – Christian Thomas, 90, of Phoenix, Arizona, formerly of Ebensburg, died October 13, 2017 at St. Joseph Medical Center, in Phoenix, AZ. Son of the late Christian D. and Mabel (Thomas) Doerr, he was born September 26, 1927 in Colver, and grew up in Ebensburg. Preceded in death by brother, Charles; sisters, Margaret Stoy and Mabel Betsy Ricupero. Survived by his sister, Doris Mackenzie, of Hilton Head, SC and brother, Robert Doerr of Kittanning, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was a five-year US Navy veteran serving in both World War II and the Korean War. He was a life member of the American Legion and VFW. No visitation or viewing. Graveside services to be held at the convenience of the family. Interment at Lloyd Cemetery, Ebensburg. Arrangements are in the care of the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg.
