MCNULTY – Paul Francis, 85 of Altoona; and a native of Patton, passed away peacefully November 23, 2017 at home, surrounded by his loving family. Born June 11, 1932 in Patton, son of the late Augustine and Roseann (Farabaugh) McNulty. Preceded in death by his son David Joseph McNulty, sisters Doris Swab and Verna Yencho, and brother Benedict, as well as an infant brother and infant sister. Survived by loving wife, Dorothy (Bertison) McNulty, to whom he was married 62 years, and children: Paula McNulty, Altoona; Marianne (Tim) Houser, Ebensburg; Kevin (Darla) McNulty, Altoona; Linda (Greg) Servello, Altoona; and Monica (Mark) Liebal, Roaring Spring; grandchildren: John Paul (Vanessa) Houser, Joseph Houser, Cecilia (Chris) Farabaugh, & Claire Houser; Daniel (Liz) McNulty; Jill (Ryan) DeWeese; Alex (Jessica) McNulty; Isaac & Morgan McNulty; Nick, Jackie, Dorothy, Dana & Kim Servello; Tori, Meg, Paul & Emily Liebal; and great-grandchildren: Sebastian & Adelaide Houser; Meredith, Samantha, Lainey & Case McNulty; Naomi, Aiven, Tobias DeWeese; and Hayli & Teagan McNulty. Also survived by brothers Thomas McNulty, Hollidaysburg and Joseph McNulty, of Patton. Paul was a graduate of the Patton High School and the Altoona School of Commerce. He retired from Vipond & Vipond Construction where he had served as the company’s accountant. A US Air Force veteran, having served in Morocco and Germany as a Cryptographer. He enjoyed time with family, especially his annual trips to the Outer Banks, a family tradition for over forty years, trips to the Poconos, and travel with Dorothy. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his sons and grandsons, and enjoyed the Altoona Curve & Pittsburgh Pirate Baseball. Friends will be received from 4-8 p.m., Monday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., 300 N. Julian Street, Ebensburg; where a vigil prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday at St. Thérèse of the Child Jesus Catholic Church, Altoona, the Rev. D. Timothy Grimme, celebrant. Interment at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Paul’s memory may be made to a children’s charity of your choice.
