ENGLEHART – Marilyn T., 90, of Ebensburg, passed away peacefully April 1, 2018 at Rebekah Manor, Ebensburg. Born July 13 1927 in Ebensburg, daughter of the late Edwin T. and Genevieve (Conley) Englehart. Last surviving member of her immediate family, she was preceded in death by her brother, Edwin T. Englehart. Survived by sister-in-law Genevieve (Whitaker) Englehart, Pittsburgh, and nephews, Matthew and Nathaniel Englehart. A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a B.S. degree in Library Science and Education and attained her Masters Degree at the Pennsylvania State University. She served the Central Cambria High School for 40 years as librarian and coached the high school Forensics Teams. She also served on the Pennsylvania and National Forensics Committees. A life member of the NEA and PSEA, she was passionate about teaching and guiding students to find their strengths. A member of Holy Name Roman Catholic Church. Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m Thursday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg, where a vigil prayer service will be held. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday at Holy Name Church, Rev. Msgr. David Lockard, celebrant. Interment at Holy Name Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers donations in Marilyn’s memory may be made to the Central Cambria High School Forensics Team.
