Obituary of Mabel Evelyn R. Wurm

WURM - Mabel Evelyn R., passed away on February 28, 2018 at St Benedict Manor. Evelyn was a native and nearly life long resident of Ebensburg. Evelyn was born on February 1, 1917 to the late John Clinton Ritter and Mabel Dunham Ritter, both long time residents of Ebensburg. Evelyn graduated from Central Cambria High School, class of 1936. She was a member of Ebensburg’s Presbyterian Church. In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, John Albert Wurm. Mr. Wurm, a native of Nanty Glo, was employed at Penelec, in Ebensburg, at the time of his death in 1975. In addition to her husband and parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her sister, Kathryn Grace Dunbar, of Bedford, PA, her brother, John D. Ritter of Boynton Beach, Florida, and her beloved nephew, John Thomas Dunbar (wife Josephine) of Pinehurst, NC. Survivors include nephews, Mark Ritter (wife, Susan) of Clinton, CT. and Kirk Ritter (wife Rhonda) of Huntsville, AL. In addition, Evelyn is survived by four grand nephews, one grand niece, two great grand nephews and two great grand nieces. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 20th at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg, Pastor James Sunseri, officiating. Interment will be in Lloyd Cemetery, Ebensburg.
