Davis - Twila Roxie (Rummel), 88, Rebekah Manor, and formerly of Colver, died November 27, 2005 at Memorial Medical Center - Downtown Campus. Born April 26, 1917 in Blacklick Twp, daughter of the late James T. and Elsie (Laney) Rummel. Preceded in death by husband George P. Davis; daughters, Janet Shaffer and Nancy Loughran; infant sons, William Paul and Kenneth Ray Davis; sisters, Cleo Paul, Velma Frank, Violet Spiegel, and Grace Kline, as well as two infant sisters, and brothers, Ward, William Ray and Dean Rummel. Survived by children: George David, married to the former Mary Oldaker, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; Alice, wife of John Buckler, Portsmouth, Ohio; Elsie, wife of the late Brian Kirkpatrick, Richland Twp.; Donald, married to the former Ronna Kubat, Ebensburg; Larry, married to the former Nancy Scott, Westmont; 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Also survived by sons-in-law, William B. Shaffer, Norristown and James Loughran, Ebensburg, brother Earl "Jake" Rummel, Belsano; and sisters: Irene Hoffman, Nanty Glo, and Ruth Dillemuth of Utica, New York. Member of Belsano Faith United Methodist Church and Ebensburg First Christian Church. Member of Belsano Senior Citizens and Cambria Twp. Farm Woman. Retired Head Dietician for Hawthorne State Hospital in Ohio. Twila enjoyed doing crafts, cooking, camping, macrame and church music. She enjoyed working with her daughters as a ceramic caster at the Demland Ceramic Shop. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 7-9 pm, Tuesday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg, where Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, the Rev. Terry Gindlesperger and Rev. Dr. Frank Brosius, officiating. Interment at Lloyd Cemetery.
