BRUSKO - Andrew B. "Bizz", 85, of Nanty Glo, passed away April 19, 2007 at home. Born November 7,1921 in Central City, son of the late Frank and Mary (Gabor) Brusko. Preceded in death by wife Norma Allen; son George and sister Mary Kungel-Barker.
Survived by sisters: Emma (Richard) Moore of Indianapolis, Elizabeth (Ernest) Brawley of Johnstown, brothers John (Marge Gowen) of Indianapolis, Frank (Jane Schuck) of Mundys Corner, and Edward (Eleanore Tutsock) of Portage. "Uncle Bizz" is also survived by several nieces and nephews including: Cindy, Connie, Jim, Janet, David, Patty, Linda, Carol, Dennis, Mary Lou, Genia, Bernie, Mike, Kathy, Steve, Tom, Pam, Mark and Kim; and numerous great nieces and nephews. Bizz will be fondly remembered for his love of sports, his passion for pinochle, his appetite for home made perogies, and for his sharp intelligence but most of all for his very kind heart. A World War II Navy veteran. He retired to Nanty Glo in 1990, he had served as a social studies and history teacher for the Bellerica School District in Massachucetts. At the request of the deceased there will be no viewing. Family and friends are welcome to attend a Memorial Mass to be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Nanty Glo, the Rev. David S. Peles, celebrant. Committal at St. Joseph's Cemetery in St John, New Brunswick, Canada. In lieu of flowers donations in Bizz's memory may be made to St. Mary's Church, 1020 Caroline Street, Nanty Glo, Pa. 15943.
