FLETCHER – Shirley Ann (Ford), 83, of Nanty Glo, passed away July 22, 2018 at Maple Winds Care Center in Portage. Born June 30, 1935 in Jackson Twp., daughter of the late Lewis W. and Alberta (Wilson) Ford. Last surviving member of her immediate family, she is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph R. Fletcher, brothers: Richard and William Ford; sister Vivian Reeger, and a cousin, Susan Ford. Survived by sons: Joseph (Donna) Fletcher, Jr., of Jackson Twp., and Terry (Marie) Fletcher, of Nanty Glo; five grandchildren: Bryan (Colleen) Fletcher; Shawn (Tabatha) Fletcher, Jennifer (Shawn) Conrad, Heidi (Nathan) Bowersox, and Becky (Scott) Bier; and thirteen great-grandchildren: Zaine, Brayden, Raelynn, Aryn, Conlan, Madelyn, Lydia, Eily-Quinn, Evan, Alex, Ian, Sydney and Emilia. Also survived by in-laws: Betty Johnson, Nanty Glo, and Bob Fletcher, Michigan as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Shirley was a former member of the Chickoree Union Church, where she was married, and where her parents were key in its founding and construction. She had worked seven years as an aide at the former Laurel Crest Manor. Friends will be received from 12:00 noon until the time of Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, Rev. Dwayne Kaufman, officiating. Interment at Headricks Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Shirley’s memory may be made to the Chickoree Union Church.
