SHERO – Thomas D. Jr. 58, of Ebensburg, passed away July 24, 2018 at UPMC Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born November 7, 1959 in Colver, son of the late Thomas D. Sr., and Dorothy R. (Dugan) Shero. Survived by his wife of 29 years, the former Brenda Learn, and daughters: Emily & Laura. Also survived by brothers and sisters: Michael (Mary Jo) Shero, Indiana; Michelle (Robert) Gibson, Ebensburg; John Shero, Atlanta GA.; Gerard Shero, Fairfax, VA.; and Bonnie Jo (Chris) Moore, Birmingham, AL. He is also survived by his God Sons: Madden Thomas Moore, James Sedor and Clement DeLattre; aunts: Louise Shero, Pittsburgh; and Janet Shero, Delmont; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Judy (John) Miller; Darlene (Gene) Raymond; Debbie (Bob) Swope; Ed (Michele) Learn; Lisa (Ron) Drzal; Ron Yarnick and numerous nieces and nephews. Tom was a member of Holy Name Roman Catholic Church where he was a member of the Festival Committee. A 1978 graduate of Central Cambria High School, and the Penn State Technical School. He was the former Co-owner and present consultant for Master Machine Co., of South Fork. In his spare time, he enjoyed attending train shows, working on his train layout and spending time with his kids. Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. Thursday and 2-4 & 6-8 p.m., Friday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg, where a vigil prayer service will be held Friday evening. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday at Holy Name Church, Rev. Msgr. David Lockard, celebrant. Entombment at Holy Name Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations in Tom’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the American Heart Association.
