Obituary of Walter J. Sutilla

SUTILLA – Walter J., Jr., 89, of Ebensburg, passed away October 27, 2018 at Memorial Medical Center. Born May 18, 1928 in Revloc, son of the late Walter J. Sr., and Mary (Piatek) Sutilla. Preceded in death by sisters: Helen Iffland and Francis Friday. He is survived by his wife, the former Connie Dahlin Sutilla, to whom he was married 58 years, at home; and son John R. Sutilla, of Philipsburg. Also survived by sister, Anna Marie DalBello, of New York City and brother Edward Sutilla, of Pittsburgh. Walter was a 1947 graduate of the former Ebensburg-Cambria High School. He had attended William & Mary University. He served his country in the US Army in the Medical Corps. He worked as an insurance claims investigator and was part-owner and Vice President of Delta Claims Services, Inc. A member of the National Association of Independent Adjusters and Holy Name Roman Catholic Church. He enjoyed golfing in his free time, held season tickets for the Steelers for 40 years, and was an avid sports enthusiast and subscriber to Sports Illustrated for over 30 years. At his request, there will be no visitation or viewing. A Private Funeral Service will be held at the convenience of the family, Rev. Msgr. David Lockard, officiating. Entombment at Holy Name Mausoleum.
