AMOS – Christine (Murphy) 88, of Amber Hills, Ebensburg, formerly of Vinco, passed away peacefully November 16, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Born March 31, 1930 in Greensburg, daughter of the William Sherman Sr. and Christina (Attenberger) Murphy. Preceded in death by parents, step-mother Susan Tunney; husband Milton, an infant daughter, Nancy; son-in-law Barry Hunt; and brothers, William Sherman Murphy Jr. and Chester Murphy. Survived by children: Marilyn (Douglas) Mosley, Ebensburg; Linda (Volker) Zaun, Elderton; and James (Barb) Amos, Ebensburg; grandchildren: Barry Hunt; Tara (Michael) Cash; Shannon (Dr. Bruce) Felix; Ehren Zaun; Erich (Nicole) Zaun and Kayla Amos; step-grandchildren: Rick, Daniel, and Stephaney Mosley; and 13 great grandchildren. Also survived by brother and sisters: Donna Amos, Brownsville; Terry Murphy, Scottdale; and Cindy Smith, Rock Hill, S.C. Christine was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Mundy’s Corner and the Jackson Twp. Homemakers’ Club. She enjoyed reading, was an avid Steelers fan, crocheting and was an avid bowler, having bowled and trophied in several local leagues. A Funeral Service will be held Sunday, December 2nd, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Mundys Corner, Pastor Kevin McNamara, officiating. Interment at Ogden Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Christine’s memory may be made to St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church or to the charity of your choice.
