PEARSON – Jeffrey J., 65, of Ebensburg passed away February 12, 2019 in Ebensburg. Born July 22, 1953 in Johnstown, son of the late Joseph W. and Mary Ellen (Baker) Pearson. Preceded in death by wife, the former Sherry (Elms) Pearson. Survived by sons: Jonathan, Virginia; and Nathan (Rachel) Pearson, Johnstown, and grandson Nash. Also survived by brothers and sisters: Clare Ann (Frank) Lasinsky, Ebensburg; Joseph J. (Suzanne) Pearson, Summerhill; Timothy (Cheryl) Pearson, Ebensburg; Melanie (Raymond) Eckenrode; Mary Jo (Edwin) Shrift, New Germany; David D. (Josie) Pearson, Ebensburg; and Melita (Tom) O’Donnell, Ebensburg and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A lifelong member of Holy Name Roman Catholic Church, where Jeff oversaw the maintenance and care of the church cemetery. Retired from C & C Smith Lumber. Jeff enjoyed playing cards, shooting trap, fishing & ice fishing, Wednesday evenings at Camp Nick, the great outdoors and spending time with his family and friends. Breakfasts with the breakfast club and lunches at Clark Powells, and time at the Ebensburg Moose were a regular part of Jeff’s day. Jeff enjoyed people and was always quick to offer his help in any way that he could. Friends will be received 2-5 and 6-8 p.m., Friday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg, where a vigil prayer service will be held. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday at Holy Name Church, Rev. Monsignor David Lockard, celebrant. Committal at Holy Name Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jeff’s memory may be made to the Holy Name Cemetery Association.
