Obituary of Delores Stahl

STAHL – Delores “Dee” (Glass), 82, passed away peacefully on March 18th, 2019 in Frederick, MD, surrounded by her family. A lifelong resident of Ebensburg, she was born in 1936, daughter of the late Bob and Hannah (Wiseman) Glass. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Jim, brothers Bill Glass (1976) and Warren Glass (2019). She is survived by her six children: Karen, Denny (Heidi), Kim (Allen) Samuels, Doug, Kristen (Jen Kissick), and Kathy (Mathew) Burns who provided her loving care in the last years of her life. She was a much loved grandmother to three grandsons: Michael (Erica) Stahl, Stephen, and Nathan Stahl; six granddaughters: Kaytee and Kelly Burns, Sarah, Samantha, and Stefani Samuels; and Megan (Ben) Borlie; as well as two great-granddaughters and a great-grandson. Also survived by brothers Ron (Claire) Glass, Wayne (Sandy) Glass, her devoted sister Mern McClelland, sister-in-law Peg Glass, and numerous nieces and nephews. Dee was a graduate of Central Cambria High School, and a lifelong member of Ebensburg United Methodist Church, where she was an organist for many years, and a member of United Methodist Women. Friends will be received on Friday, March 22nd from 6p.m. to 8p.m. at Askew-Houser Funeral Home, Ebensburg, and from 10a.m. until time of service at 11:00a.m. Saturday March 23rd at the Ebensburg United Methodist Church, the Revs. J.R. Virgin and Roger Johnson (ret.) officiating. Interment will be in Lloyd Cemetery, Ebensburg. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made in Dee’s memory to Wellspan- Adams Cancer Center at 40 V-Twin Dr, Gettysburg, PA 17325, or your local hospice program.
