COOK - Cecil S., 84, Hastings, died Dec. 8, 2005, at Altoona Hospital Center for Nursing Care. Born Aug. 12, 1921, in Burnside, son of Orlando and Eva (Berringer) Cook. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Gerald, Glenn, Clair, Elmer, Dean, Ford and Ray Cook; and sisters, Vernie Trayer, Nellie Davidson and Edna Wright. Survived by wife of 63 years, Betty (Maines) Cook; daughters, Wanda, wife of Kenneth Kline, Hastings, and Robin, wife of Shawn McDowell, Nanty Glo; and grandchildren, Joshua, Nathan and Neil Kline and Heather Ley. World War II Army veteran. Member of North End Assembly of God. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Moriconi Funeral Home Inc., Northern Cambria, where funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Pastor Chuck Guerin officiating. Interment, East Ridge Cemetery. Military honors by local veterans organizations.
