SCHILLING - Andrew E., 90, of Ebensburg, died Dec. 23, 2005, at Rebekah Manor, Ebensburg. Born Nov. 21, 1915, in Nicktown, son of the late Charles and Elizabeth J. (Lantz) Schilling. Preceded in death by wife, the former Nellie Larese; special friend, Betty Davis; brothers, Henry, Samuel, Walter, Francis and Louis; and sisters, Marie Nature, Annie Bailey and Blanche Federman. Survived by daughters, Nancy, wife of Richard Hudimac, Sidman; Rosemarie, wife of Tom McConnell, Portage; and Mary, wife of David Getty, Ebensburg; grandchildren, Eric, and wife, Camille (Alwine) Hudimac, North Carolina; Michelle, and fiance, Bob Quinn, Johnstown; Mark Hudimac, and fiancee, Colleen Morton, North Carolina; Brian Getty, Arlington, Va.; Adam Getty, Ebensburg; Jill Noel, Stacy and Louise McConnell, all of Portage; and great-grandson, Bobby Quinn. Brother of Wilford Schilling, Nicktown; Regis Schilling, Ohio; Alfonse Schilling, Buffalo, N.Y.; and Helen Bishop, Ebensburg. Member of Holy Name Roman Catholic Church; American Legion Post 363, Ebensburg; and UMWA Local 850. Retired from BethEnergy Mine #32. A World War II Army veteran. Andrew and his wife had been active volunteers at Holy Name Church, the Ebensburg Senior Center, Laurel Crest Manor and the St. Vincent De Paul Society. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes Inc., Ebensburg, where a vigil prayer service will be held Tuesday evening. Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Name Church, the Rev. Monsignor Arnold L. Gaus, celebrant. Committal at Holy Name Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Andy's memory may be made to the St. Vincent De Paul Society.
