VETOCK-STRITTMATTER - Hilda Roseanna, age 75, Bayonne, N.J., and Ebensburg, died Dec. 30, 2005, in Bayonne, N.J. Born Feb. 18, 1930, in East Carroll Township, daughter of Alexander and Mary Frances "Mae" (Zeak) Strittmatter. Preceded in death by parents; first husband, who she was married to for 41 years, Joseph Vetock; and these brothers and sisters, Margaret Strittmatter, Clement, Lucille Strittmatter, Julia Jones and Ursula Strittmatter. Survived by beloved husband of 10 years, Basil Strittmatter; and devoted mother to these children: Barbara, married to Paul Uncapher, Vintondale; Sharon, wife of Larry Rapski, Clearfield; Diane, married to Steve Lehman, Lakewood, Ohio; Mary Beth, wife of Mike Tsikalas, Pittsburgh; Patti, married to Richard Lent, Lombard, Ill.; Wayne Vetock, married to Georgette Chuhran, Pasadena, Md.; and Josette, married to Timothy Bidlack, Pittsburgh; grandchildren, Kristen Henry, Johanna Boothby, Megan Stiffler, Greta Rapski, Therese Rapski, Jude Rapski, Victoria Lehman, Stephanie Lehman, Manny Tsikalas, Nicholas Tsikalas, Leah Tsikalas, Amanda Gowanlock, George Gowanlock, Jessica Vetock, Lauren Vetock, Mark Vetock, Alayna Bidlack, Neill Bidlack and Timothy Bidlack; great-grandchildren, Caitlin Henry, Jonathan Henry, Andrew Henry and Braden Boothby. Sister of Philip Strittmatter, Phoenix, Ariz.; Ellen Ferry, Shippensburg; Demetrius Strittmatter, Loretto; and John Strittmatter, Patton. Member of pro-life group and St. Vincent Parish, both of Bayonne; Nocturnal Adoration Society and Catholic Daughters of America, Court 680, both of Ebensburg; Third Order Secular of St. Francis, Loretto. Formerly employed at the A--P grocery store; Sylvania Electric, co-owned Bakery Outlet; co-owned Vetock Ceramics; made wedding and specialty cakes; provided child care for 27 children not her own; and a substitute teacher's aide for exceptional children. Friends received from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Matevish and Matevish Funeral Home, Ebensburg, where vigil wake services will be held Wednesday evening. Funeral Mass, 11 a.m. Thursday at Holy Name Catholic Church, the Rev. Monsignor Arnold L. Gaus. Entombment, Holy Name Mausoleum, Ebensburg.
