Lion - Helen (Sado), 86, of Rebekah Manor, Northern Cambria, and formerly of N. West Street, Ebensburg, died January 11, 2006 at the manor. Born February 1, 1919 in Colver, daughter of the late Charles and Helen (Fedyak) Sado. Preceded in death by husband Eugene, brother John, and sisters Mary Edwards, Anna Stiffler, and Sophie Kervin. Survived by brother Charles (Loretta) Sado, Jr. , Hammond, Indiana; sisters: Kathryne Sado and Irene (Michael) Barno, all of Ebensburg, and numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Helen retired as a waitress from the Penn Gables Restaurant, where she had been employed since 1965. She loved flowers, gardening, arts and crafts and was especially gifted at crocheting. Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m., Friday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg, where funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, the Rev. Msgr. Arnold L. Gaus, officiating. Interment at Lloyd Cemetery. Contributions in Helen's memory may be made to the MediHome Hospice 308 Hanes Street, Johnstown, Pa. 15901
