Obituary of Janet Egolf Miller

MILLER - Janet Egolf, age 81, of East Watson Street, Bedford, Pa.,and formerly of Ebensburg, Schelldied at 12:17 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2006, at Memorial Medical Center, Main Campus, Johnstown, Pa. Janet was born in Juniata Township, Bedford County, on Jan. 5, 1925. She was the daughter of the late J. Earl and Florence M. (Hillegass) Egolf. Mrs. Miller was employed at the former Celanese Corp. in Cumberland, Md., and a former secretary at the Bedford Soil Conservation Office. She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Bedford, and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Bedford Springs Chapter. Janet was the widow of Warren A. Miller, who preceded her in death on April 6, 1988. She is survived by sister, Geraldine, widow of William Barley, Bedford; sister, Pauline, widow of Luther Berkey, New Paris; brother, Carl, husband of Geraldine (Taylor) Egolf, Schellsburg; brother-in-law, S. Arthur Way, New Paris; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by a sister, Carol E. Way. A funeral service will be held at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg, at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 13, with the Rev. Robert Robertson officiating. Interment at Fishertown Cemetery, Fishertown, Pa. Friends are invited to call Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg. Memorial contributions may be made to Bedford County Library, 240 S.
