OLSHAVSKY - Helen (Manchak), 90 of Ebensburg, passed away July 8, 2006 at Laurel Crest Manor. Born March 31, 1916 in Cassandra, daughter of the late Frank and Anna Manchak. Preceeded in death by husband, Michael, brothers John, Michael & Stephen, sister Florence Sulik, daughter-in-law, Priscilla Olshavsky, sons-in-law Rod Johnson and Mark Little. Survived by children, Paul, of Brunswick,Ohio. Jean & husband Jerry Damin, Ebensburg; Elaine Johnson, South Bend, Indiana; Richard & wife Jill, Bloomington, Indiana; Donald & wife Carole, Dublin, Ohio; and Janet & husband Chuck Gallmyer, Greenville, Texas. 15 Grandchildren, 23 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Granddaughter. Sister of Anna Zidisin of Maryland, Mary Shklevich; Susanne Bobrowicz, both of Ohio, Frank Jr., California and Paul of Maryland. Sisters-in-law Annamae Manchak, Ohio and Betty Manchak, Deleware, and numerous nieces and nephews. Member of Holy Name Roman Catholic Church, Ebensburg. Seamstress with the former JoAnn Dress Factory, of Ebensburg. A devoted and loving mother and grandmother. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 7-9 pm Monday at Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc.,Ebensburg, where vigil prayer service will be held. Funeral Mass 11 am on Tuesday at Holy Name Catholic Church, the Rev. Msgr. Arnold L. Gaus celebrant. Committal Holy Name Cemetery. In lieu of flowers doations in Helen's memory may be made to Holy Name Angel Fund.
