Obituary of George Robert Salutes

Salutes - George Robert "Bob", 90, Triumph Street, Ebensburg, and formerly of Nanty Glo died July 20, 2006 at St. Andrew's Village, in Indiana. Born August 25, 1915, son of the late George Sr., and Katie (Yerkovic) Salutes. Preceded in death by wife, the former Julia M. Trulac; granddaughter, Nancy Kotelnicki; son-in-law, Joseph A. Kotelnicki; sister, Ann Mazman; and brother, John Salutes Survived by daughters: Catherine, wife of William A. Simmers of Indianapolis, Indiana; and Dolores "Debbie" Kotelnicki of Indiana; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Also survived by nephew, John Salutes, Detroit, Michigan and nephew/godson, Leo Mazman of Bedford. Retired foreman from Bethlehem Mines #31. He enjoyed woodcrafting and took great pride in his home and gardens. Bob enjoyed his family, especially his grandchildren. A member of Holy Name Roman Catholic Church, Ebensburg where a Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, the Rev. Msgr. Arnold L. Gaus, celebrant. Friends will be received from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., Sunday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg, where a vigil prayer service will be held that evening. Committal at Holy Name Cemetery.
