Hay, Dr. Lewis, Jr., D.D.S., 89, of Rebekah Manor, Ebensburg, died December 5, 2004 at the Manor. Born September 9, 1915 in Beallsville, Pa., son of the late Lewis and Molly (Craven) Hay. Preceded in death by wife, the former Lois Dean, and daughter Laurie N. Burt. Survived by son, Lewis III, married to the former Sherry Kratovil, of Pal Beach Gardens, Florida and four grandchildren. Retired from dentistry in 1985, Dr. Hay had been in private practive for 38 years in Grove City and Pittsburgh, and later relocated to Ebensburg where he had served as a Dental Supervisor at the Ebensburg Center for five years. Past President of the Mercer County and Ninth District Dental Societies and a former member of the State Council on Dental Health. A World War II Army Air Corp. veteran and member of the Ebensburg First United Presbyterian Church. A funeral service will be held at 8:15am, Friday, at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes Inc. Ebensburg, the Rev. Jim Farrer officiating. Entombment at Grandview Mausoleum, Johnstown. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Dr. Hay's memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
