FORD - Richard G., 76, Mundys Corner, passed away January 19, 2006 at home. Born May 26, 1929 in Nanty Glo, son of the late Lewis and Alberta (Wilson) Ford. Preceded in death by wife, the former Catherine "Dolly" Vicini (Nicklow - Ford); step-mother Ruby Ford; brother William Ford and sister Vivian Reeger. Survived by children Richard Ford, of Virginia; Christine, and husband Robert Williamson, Mundys Corner; David, and wife, Remy Ford, Virginia; Ted, and wife Debbie Ford, Mundys Corner; Connie Crowther, Southampton; and Brenda and husband, Christopher Bailey, of Ohio; step-children, Aurelia, and husband James Henry, Homer City; June McCloskey, Johnstown; and Ruth, and husband Sam Skomra, Penn Run; grandchildren, Jeremy Ford, and fiancee Valerie Anaya, Colorado; Jennifer and husband Derek Collins, Tennesee; Justin, and fiancee, Dainya Shilling, and Ashley Williamson, all of Mundys Corner; Abegail and Hannah Ford, Virginia; and Quincy and Kallon Crowther, Southampton; and great-grandsons, Slade Collins, Tennesee; and Lars Nipps, Mundys Corner. Also survived by his sister Shirley Fletcher of Ebensburg. Korean War Army veteran. Member of Nanty Glo VFW, Nanty Glo LOOM and American -Polish Citizens Club. Friends will be received from 1-3 and 7-9 pm Sunday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, where funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, the Rev. Reginald Bell, pastor emeritus of Nanty Glo First Baptist Church, officiating. Interment, Forest Lawn Cemetery. Military rites by local veterans organizations.
