SCOTT - William, age 79, Ebensburg, died Aug. 13, 2006, at HAIDA Manor. Born March 18, 1927, in Westover, son of Lawrence and Edna Mae (Hill) Scott. Preceded in death by parents; wife, the former Carrie Nihart; four brothers; and two sisters. Survived by these children: Rosemary, wife of Michael Barnhart, Ebensburg; Jack, married to the former Cathy Kim, Ebensburg; Jim, married to the former Deborah Dishart, Georgia; Barb Thomas, Twin Rocks; and Bryan, Butler; 19 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. Brother of Ronald, Oregon; James, Maine; Helen Karolchik, Mount Airy, Md.; Margaret Freidhof, Munster; Marion Tober, Patton; and Carol McConnell, Conway. Retired from Bethlehem Steel Mills, Johnstown. Army veteran of World War II. Member of Christian Missionary Alliance Church, Nanty Glo. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 p.m. until time of services at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Matevish and Matevish Funeral Home, Ebensburg, Pastor Ken officiating. Committal, EUB Cemetery, Belsano.
