HATCH - E. Jane (Wasser), 70, Daytona Beach, Florida, formerly of Ebensburg, passed away October 16, 2006 at home. Born June 9, 1936 in Ebensburg, daughter of the late Robert A. "Ike" and Florence (Litzinger) Wasser. Preceded in death by husband, Beverly J. Hatch, infant sister Naomi and brother Robert J. "Ike" Wasser. Survived by children Kevin Hatch, at home; Denise and husband Dennis Yahner, of Ebensburg; Kenton and wife Helen (DiPaolo) of Philipsburg; Michele and husband Jeff Colian of Daytona Beach, Florida and 9 Grandchildren. Sister of Betty Lou (Art) DeSalvo; Rita (Bob) Eckenrode; Fred (Carole) Wasser and Jay (Dee) Wasser, all of Ebensburg. Also survived by sister-in-law Betty Wasser, Strongstown.
Member of Holy Name Roman Catholic Church, Ebensburg. Former Owner and Operator with her late husband, of West End Markets & Country Garden 6-Paks, Ebensburg & Cresson.
At Jane's request there will be no public viewing, however all are welcomed to join the family in attending the Funeral Mass which will be celebrated 11:00 am Friday at Holy Name Church, the Rev. Msgr. Arnold L. Gaus, celebrant. Committal, Holy Name Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jane's memory may be made to the ALS Foundation. Arrangements by the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg.
