WISNIEWSKI - Elizabeth Julia, 78 of William Penn Avenue, Nanty Glo, passed away October 6, 2007 at home. Born December 5, 1928 in Twin Rocks, daughter of the late (Geza) James and Hermina (Kopas) Rostash. Last surviving member of her immediate family, she is preceded in death by brothers William and James A. Rostash, and sister, Margaret Dalton. Survived by husband, Andrew A. Wisniewski to whom she was married 57 years, and sons: Andrew M.Wisniewski, Latrobe; and Daniel Wisniewski of Nanty Glo. Also survived by four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and sister-in-law Margaret Rostash, of Monroe, Michigan. A member of St. John Vianney Roman Catholic Church, the Legion of Mary, and an active volunteer in the kitchen at Fr. Quinn Hall for dinners and fundraisers. Liz enjoyed her memberships in the Jackson Twp. Fire Co. Auxiliary, and Jackson Twp. Senior Citizens. She retired in 1986 from Ebensburg Center where she had served as a cook and dietary supervisor for 25 years. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Monday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, where a vigil prayer service will be held. Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday at St. John Vianney Church, the Rev. Paul Robine, celebrant. Committal at St. Charles Cemetery, Twin Rocks. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Jackson Twp. Fire Company or to St. John Vianney Church in Liz's memory.
