MILLER - Virgil P., 89, Ebensburg, died Oct. 16, 2006, at Memorial Medical Center. Born April 4, 1917, in Johnstown, son of John and Eva (Rizzi) Miller. Preceded in death by parents; wife, the former Susan Hurtak; grandson, Kevin Reynolds; brothers, Louis and Edward; and sisters, Anna Flaime and Louisa Zuccolotto-Litterini. Survived by children, Beverly, wife of Donald Reynolds, Bethesda, Md., and Virgil Joseph, married to the former Deborah Harris, Ebensburg; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Last surviving member of his immediate family. Life member of Dauntless Fire Company, Ebensburg. Member of Pennsylvania State Firemen's Association. Formerly employed by C & J Falchini and a bus driver for Central Transportation and the Dairy Dell, all of Ebensburg. Virgil enjoyed playing his accordion at various functions. Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Matevish & Matevish Funeral Home, Ebensburg, where vigil wake service will be held Friday evening. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Holy Name Catholic Church, Ebensburg, the Rev. Msgr. Arnold L. Gaus. Committal, Holy Name Cemetery. Fire company service at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
