RUBISCH - Helen, 89, Ebensburg, died Nov. 7, 2006, at home. Born Oct. 23, 1917, in Colver, daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Sado) Rubisch. Preceded in death by brother, Charles Rubisch, and sister, Mary Balko. Survived by brothers, James Rubisch, Beverly N.J.; John Rubisch, Doylestown; George Rubisch, Ebensburg; and Joseph Rubisch, Picayune, Miss.; and sister, Margaret Balko, West Newton. Helen had worked as a beautician in salons in Johnstown and West Newton. A warm and loving presence in the lives of her nieces and nephews: Carolyn Scott, Andrea Larson, Patricia Balko, Karen Speroni, Michael Balko, Marjorie Keith, Susan Gisler, Richard Rubisch, Diane DeSalvo, Robert Rubisch, John C. Rubisch, Lynn Penniman, David Rubisch, James J. Rubisch, Dennis Rubisch and Joseph B. Rubisch, and will be missed by her great-nieces and great-nephews in the Balko, Rubisch, Larson, Scott, Gisler, DeSalvo, Speroni and Keith families. Her great-great-nieces and nephews include a namesake, Helena Larson. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes Inc., Ebensburg, Brother Mike Balko, officiating. Interment at Lloyd Cemetery, Ebensburg.
