RASHLICH - John W., 61, of Upper Marlboro, Md., formerly of Ebensburg, died Nov. 9, 2006, in Upper Marlboro. Born May 21, 1945, in Spangler, son of Martin and Anna Grace (Smithbower) Rashlich. Preceded in death by mother. Survived by father, Ebensburg; brothers, Eugene, with whom he resided, Upper Marlboro, and Duane, married to the former Judy Frankfort, Sinking Springs; and nieces, Michele Rashlich, North Lauderdale, Fla.; and Stacy, and husband, James Nimas, and their children, Matthew and Ryan, Allentown. Also survived by aunts, Dorothy Morsenko and Anne Rashlich, both of Ebensburg; Rose Kudel, Mineral Point, and Eva Lazarich, Katy, Texas. He was an Army veteran of Vietnam and member of VFW Post 4963, Ebensburg. He was employed at the U.S. Department of State in the building management department. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Matevish and Matevish Funeral Home, Ebensburg, where vigil wake service will be held Monday evening. Funeral Mass at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Holy Name Catholic Church, Ebensburg, the Rev. Monsignor Arnold L. Gaus. Committal, Holy Name Cemetery, Ebensburg.
