ZUBEL - Heinz, 86, of Revloc, passed away Nov. 13, 2006, at Laurel Crest Manor. Born July 2, 1920, in Gelenkirchen, Germany, son of the late August and Bertha (Key) Zubel. Preceded in death by brother, Arthur Zubel. Last surviving member of his immediate family. Survived by loving wife, the former Margaret Toffy, to whom he was married 47 years; several cousins; and family friend, Anna Banko of Revloc. A WWII Army veteran and recipient of the World War II Victory Medal, American Campaign Medal and European American Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with three bronze stars. Lifetime member of Post 4963 VFW, Ebensburg. Retired coal miner from the Revloc Mines. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes Inc., Ebensburg, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, the Rev. Dr. Frank Brosius officiating. Interment at Lloyd Cemetery, Ebensburg. Military ritual by local veterans organizations.
