HANCHARICK - Kathryn, 90, Ebensburg, formerly of Colver, died Jan. 17, 2007, at Windber Hospice. Born Oct. 31, 1916, in Colver. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Joseph; daughter, Carolann Fagan; six brothers; and five sisters. Survived by children, Jack, North Ridgeville, Ohio; Mary Mastrine, Ebensburg; also son-in-law, Robert Fagan, Scotia, N.Y.; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Katie was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Member of Ebensburg Senior Citizens. Former member of Colver Senior Citizens, former member of Holy Family Legion of Mary and taught CCD classes at Holy Family Church, Colver, and former member of Retired Seniors Volunteer Program. Katie was a very kind and generous person who always thought of others before thinking of herself. She loved to play cards and bake. This sweetheart will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved her. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Matevish and Matevish Funeral Home, Ebensburg, where vigil wake service will be held Friday evening. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Holy Name Catholic Church, Ebensburg, the Rev. Monsignor Arnold L. Gaus. Entombment, Holy Name Mausoleum, Ebensburg. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Holy Name School Angel Fund or to St. Jude Children's Hospital, P.O. Box 50, Memphis, Tenn. 38101-9929 in Katie's memory.
