Obituary of Mary L. Galli

GALLI -Mary L., 83, Nanty Glo, died Jan. 28, 2007, at Memorial Medical Center. Born June 5, 1923, in Nanty Glo, daughter of the late Alfonso and Maria (Zanelli) Galli. Preceded in death by brother, Angelo; wife, Matilda "Kit" Galli; and sister, Norma Berger. Survived by nieces and nephews, John (Antoinette) Galli, Nanty Glo; Ann Marie (Dominick) Persio, Blandon; Linda (John) Yeager, Johnstown; and devoted nephew, James Galli; nine great-nieces and great-nephews; and eight great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. Mary was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Member of St. Mary's Church, Nanty Glo. Retired supervisor of GTE records department and the cleaning staff at Blacklick Valley School District. Member of the Rosary -- Altar Society and the GTE Pioneer's Club. Her unending service to our Lord could be seen by her love and care she gave to the altar and flowers at St. Mary's Church. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Bowser-Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, where a Liturgical Wake service will be held Tuesday. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Church, the Rev. Father David Peles. Committal, St. Mary's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary's Church.
