Obituary of Helen Jenkins Stennett

STENNETT-JENKINS - Helen, 96, Laurel Crest Manor, passed into new life April 18, 2007 at the manor. Born May 13, 1910 in Jackson Twp., daughter of the late George and Ellen (Rager) Dishong. Preceded in death by husbands, Irvin "Pete" Jenkins and John Stennett, brothers and sisters, Burley, Jack, Royden, Elda, Cora, Flora and Elfa, son in law Ario "Casey" Fertick and granddaughters, Sherry (Cameron) Michael and Rhonda (Fertick) Bishop. Last surviving member of her immediate family. Survived by children, Lois Marie Fertick, Jackson Twp.; Ken (Janice) Jenkins, Jackson Twp.; Jerry Jenkins, Bradford; Shirley Stennett (Sam) Cameron, Ohio; Bette Deane Stennett (Ron) Reynolds, Ohio. Also survived by 12 Grandchildren, 24 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great Great Grandchildren and many friends and caregivers at Laurel Crest Manor. Member of Singer Hill Grace Brethren Church. Charter member of Red Hat Society (Chapter) The Red Hat Jewels. Friends will be received from 2-9 pm Friday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Nanty Glo, where funeral service will be held at 11:30 am Saturday ,the Rev. Marvin E. Lowery, officiating. Interment, Pike Brethren Cemetery, Mundys Corner. In lieu of flowers donations in Helen's memory may be made to Laurel Crest Manor, Ebensburg, First Floor T.A. Dept. c/o: Deb and Liz.
