SOWOLLA - George 85, Wood Avenue, Revloc, Pennsylvania, went to be with his Lord and Savior on April 19, 2007, the day before his 86th birthday. Born April 20, 1921 in Nanty Glo, son of George and Justina (Petrick) Sowolla. Preceded in death by his parents, brothers John, Michael and Andrew, sisters Helen Rivera, Mary Walsky and little Helen. Survived by his loving wife of 63 years, the former Mildred "Babe" Anderson Rager; daughter Justine Kaye, married to J. Phillips Saylor, Johnstown; D. Lynn, married to M. Theodore Gresh, Jeannette; grandchildren John P. Saylor III, married to the former Amy Brown, Lynchburg, Virginia; Rev. George J. Saylor, married to the former Robin Tigchelaar, London, Ontario and Dr. Kaylyn Gresh Krummen, married to Dr. Paul J. Krummen, Cleveland, Ohio; great-grandchildren Hunter, Zoe, Eden, Karis and Justin; sister Ann Sowolla Faish, Nanty Glo, and brothers Steve Sowolla, Revloc, and Harry Sowolla, Bethesda, Maryland. Member and Elder of the Revloc Presbyterian Church. Retired from Bethlehem Mines #32 and member of U.M.W.A. Local #850. George was a loving husband and family patriarch. He generously gave of his time and talents, serving his Lord, his Church, his family and his fellow man. No task was too small or too difficult, no chore was too burdensome. George never complained in spite of health problems that plagued his later years. He touched many lives and will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Sunday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc., Ebensburg. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 Monday at the Revloc Presbyterian Church, the Rev Dr. Stanley Bhasker, and Rev. George J. Saylor (grandson of the deceased), officiating. Interment Pike Brethren Cemetery, Mundys Corner. Memorial contributions in George's memory may be made to the Revloc Presbyterian Church
