WICK - Carl W. Sr., 86, Nanty Glo, died April 27, 2007, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Aug. 14, 1920, in Nanty Glo, son of the late Andrew and Anna (Henderson) Wick. Preceded in death by daughter, Michele Wick, and son, Richard Wick. Survived by wife of 54 years, Agnes June, Nanty Glo; children, Carl Jr. (Thelma) Wick, Nanty Glo; Thomas (Bonnie) Wick, Johnstown; Pamela (Robert) Davidson, Nanty Glo; and David (Cheryl) Wick, Nanty Glo; seven grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nine stepgreat-grandchildren; and sisters, Ethel Wick and Mildred Stutzman, both of Punxsutawney. He retired from Bethlehem Mines after 29 years and was in the U.S. Army, having served as an M.P. in World War II. Member of UMWA Local 1386, VFW Post 3489, American Legion Post 619 and American Polish Club, all of Nanty Glo. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Bowser-Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, the Rev. Carl Schmidt. Interment, Pike Brethren Cemetery, Mundys Corner. Veteran service will be conducted by local veterans organizations. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, Nanty Glo.
