YANUTA - George, 86, Colver, died May 1, 2007. Born May 12, 1920, in Vintondale, son of Charles and Meri (Voloshin) Yanuta. Preceded in death by parents; wife, the former Margaret "Buzzy" Barate; brothers, John, Charles and Joseph; and sister, Anne. Survived by these sisters, Mary Zavis and Helen Campolungo, both of Whitehouse Station, N.J.; Sophia Puccio, Clermont, N.Y.; and Barbara Poppe, Florida; also these nieces and nephews, Stephanie Soules, Theresa Yerkes, Meri Puccio, Debbie Yanuta, James Puccio, Alan Zavis and Bill Zavis. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. Member of UMWA Local 860, Colver. Life member of Ebensburg VFW Post 4963. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Matevish and Matevish Funeral Home, Ebensburg, where funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, the Rev. Father Andrew Matychak. Committal, Lloyd Cemetery, Ebensburg.
