LOUGHRAN - James D. "Miner Jim," 76, Cambria Twp., went to be with the Lord May 12, 2007, at home. Born Dec. 30, 1930, in Nicktown, son of the late Joseph and Agnes Loughran. Preceded in death by wife, Nancy D. (Davis) Loughran. Survived by sisters, Frances, and husband, Wilmer Sherry, and Tessie, and husband, Don Lemanowich; brothers, Anslem, and wife, Cheryl (Volk), and William and wife, Deborah (Lieb); special great-niece, Sabrina Loughran, and numerous nieces and nephews. Member of Ebensburg First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). U.S. Navy veteran, retired from Bethlethem Mines, member of UMWA. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes Inc., Ebensburg, where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, the Rev. Dr. Frank Brosius, officiating. Interment, Belsano United Methodist Cemetery. Military graveside rite by Menocher Post 155 VFW Ritual Team.
