STIFFLER - Carl Sr., 78, Vintondale, died May 12, 2007, at Manor Care, Lancaster. Born July 22, 1928, in Nanty Glo, son of the late Edward and Fanny (Dunlap) Stiffler. Preceded in death by wife, Lettie; brothers, Earl, Eugene, John and Grant; and sister, Margaret Gettys. Survived by children: Carl Jr., Athens; Sherry (Richard) Gaunt, Sidman; Samuel (Judy), Beaverdale; Brenda Kline, Hampton, Va.; and David Hallam. Also survived by eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; and sister and brothers, Betty Hullihan, Nanty Glo; Harry (Delores), Mundys Corner; and Melvin (Edna Mae), Hastings. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Bowser-Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, the Rev. David Stiffler. Interment, Pineland Cemetery, Strongstown.
