Plouse - Wade P., 80, Thomas Street, Mineral Point, died May 24, 2007 at Edinboro Manor in Edinboro. Born September 17, 1926 in Allport, son of the late Wade T. and Diana (Price) Plouse. Survived by wife, the former Alberta B. Patty, to whom he was married 53 years and children: Samuel (Karen) Pelchar, Oak Ridge, Tennessee; Wade R. (Tiffany) Plouse; and Edward Plouse, all of York; Cecil Plouse, Cambridge Springs; Barry (Tanis) Plouse, Edinboro, and Margaret (David) Bracken Jr., of Mundys Corner. Also survived by granddaughters Taylor, Shawna, Amber, Whitney, Morgan and Ramey, and brother Edward T. Plouse of Alabama.
Retired open hearthman from Bethlehem Steel Corporation. Wade was a World War II veteran having served in Navy as a seaman apprentice, then in the Army as an infantryman. He was the recipient of the American Area and Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medals. Lifelong member of the VFW. He enjoyed gardening and was an avid sportsman, fisherman and hunter.
Friends will be received from 2-4 & 7-9 pm., Sunday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes, Inc. Ebensburg. Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. TUESDAY at Lloyd Cemetery, the Rev. Dr. Rick Clark, officiating. Military graveside rites by the Menoher Post VFW Ritual Team.
