BARBER - Mary Anna (Bonchack), 63, Nanty Glo, passed on to be with our Lord and savior on Thursday May 24, 2007. Born May 12, 1944, in Altoona, she was a daughter of Joseph and Pearl (Ringler) Bonchack, who preceded her in death. She was a member of the graduating class of 1962 at Penns Valley Area Joint High School, Spring Mills. Mary Anna's joys were her husband, Nicholas D. Barber, to whom she was joined in marriage on Oct. 6, 1969, and her only son, Nicholas J. Barber, born the 20th year of her marriage to Nick. She is survived by both of the previous. Mary Anna is also survived by her siblings, including two brothers, Joseph Bonchack Jr. and wife Thelma, Bellefonte; and Donald Bonchack and wife Mary, State College; and two sisters, Bonnie Grove and husband, Robert, Centre Hall; and Kathleen Rockey and husband, Charles, Millheim; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Mary Anna was the owner of Bubbles and Chirps Pet House in Geistown for eight years, during which she touched the lives of many patrons. After the business had come to its end in October of 2006, she was employed at Rebekah Manor in Ebensburg, where her passion was caring for her residents. She will be affecionately remembered for her profound love of God and her family and her care for those in need of assistance. Her memory will live on in the hearts of many. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at John Henderson Co. Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave., where vigil service will be held Monday. Funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Clare of Assisi Church, Woodvale, where she was a member, Father Leo F. Arnone. Committal, St. Anthony's Cemetery.
