McCAA - Reverend Monsignor Francis B., 82, Martinsburg, W.Va. and Gallitzin died May 24, 2007, at City Hospital, Martinsburg. Born Dec. 21, 1924, in Gallitzin, son of the late Robert B. and Rose Beatrice (Parrish) McCaa. Preceded in death by brothers, Robert F. and wife, Helen; John and wife, Anne; and infant brother, Joseph; sisters, Millie Reilly and husband, Donald; Rose Hertzog and husband, Stewart; and Louise McCaa; brother-in-law, Joseph Flynn; and nephews, John F. and James McCaa. Survived by a sister, Dorothy Flynn of Falls Church, Va., 27 loving and proud nieces and nephews and numerous grand and great-grand nieces and nephews. Ordained to the priesthood on May 22, 1948 at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, Altoona, by the late Bishop Richard T. Guilfoyle. Msgr. Celebrated 59 years as a priest. Graduate of Altoona Catholic High School in 1942. A 4th Degree Knight of Columbus. Funeral Mass will be concelebrated at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Demetrius Catholic Church, Gallitzin by the Rev. Msgr. Arnold Gaus, the Rev. Msgr. Paul Lenz, cousin, and the Rev. Msgr. Bernard Przybocki. Committal, St. Patrick's Cemetery. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Gibbons Funeral Home, 301 Church St., Gallitzin, where a vigil service will be held Sunday. The family suggests contributions be made to a Catholic school of your choice in Msgr. Francis' memory.
