SMITH - Helen-Jean (Kovash), Johnstown, 49, formerly of Cresson, died May 25, 2007, in Johnstown. Born March 4, 1958, in Los Angeles, daughter of Frank and Luella (Coleman) Kovash. Preceded in death by parents. Survived by husband, Stephen, Cresson; and precious mother to Jennifer McDade, Tamara Lynn Stamper and J.T. Stamper. Also survived by grandchildren, Shayne McDade, Alexis McDade, Gelicia Manor and Nijier Manor. Sister of Frank-Steve Kovash and wife, the former Lisa (Alexander), Renee-Lynn (Kovash) Short and Scotte Lewis; and nieces and nephews, Brenton Kovash, Cindy Mae Kovash, Hannah Kovash, Breanna Lewis and Gavin Lewis. U.S. Marine Corps veteran and a member of the Loretto Volunteer Fire Company. Friends received from 9 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Matevish and Matevish Funeral Home, Ebensburg, Brother Gabriel officiating. Committal, Holy Name Cemetery, Ebensburg. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the family in Helen-Jean's memory.
