Obituary of Donald G. Bard

BARD - Donald G., Turner Apartments, Ebensburg, went to be with the Lord on June 21, 2007. He was born on July 29, 1924, son of the late Norman and Rosalia (McCann) Bard. He was preceded in death by wife of 42 years, Magdalene, and sister, Dolores Murray. He is survived by daughters, Kathleen, wife of Sam Laporte, Florida, and Diane, wife of Lawrence Cornetti, Nanty Glo, and sons, Donald N., married to Cindy K. (Hollowniczky), Florida, and Dennis Bard, Orlando, Fla. Also survived by seven grandchildren, Craig, Jacquelyn, Kristie (Bard), Tammy (Aurandt), Robert, Maria and Matt Cornetti. He had five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was retired from L. Robert Kimball & Associates in Ebensburg. He enjoyed playing golf and fishing. He was a member of Holy Name Roman Catholic Church in Ebensburg. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Askew-Houser Funeral Homes Inc., Ebensburg, where vigil prayer service will be held. Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Monday at Holy Name Church. Entombment will follow at Holy Name Mausoleum. Military rites by Menoher Post 155 VFW Ritual Team. In lieu of flowers, donations in Donald's memory may be made to his church.
