ROSENSTEEL - The Rev. Wiliam A., 64, Hollidaysburg, formerly of Ebensburg, died June 24, 2007, in Richland Township. Born Feb. 12, 1943, in Johnstown, son of Harold and Gertrude (Ivory) Rosensteel. Preceded in death by parents; nephew, James Ellis; and niece, Catherine Ellis. Survived by brother and sisters, David, and wife, Barbara Rosensteel; Jean, and husband, Patrick O'Rorke; Linda, and husband, Terry Ellis; Karen, and husband, Robert Robine; Dotty Rosensteel; and Janet, and husband, Douglas Moskal; nieces and nephews, Harold and Daniel Rosensteel, Sharon and Susan Abbott, Maj. Christopher and Sandra Ellis, Michelle and Amanda Robine, and Christina and Scott Moskal; and great-nieces and -nephews, Joseph, Victoria, Jessica, Alaina, Marshall and Ryan. Father Bill was an associate pastor at St. Leo's, Altoona; St. Patrick's, Johnstown; St. Mary's, Altoona; and pastor at St. Patrick's, Gallitzin and Newry, and Holy Rosary, Altoona. Father Bill received a distinguished alumni award from St. Francis University, Loretto. He was well known for cooking and hospitality towards parishioners, priests and family. Father taught religion at Bishop Guilfoyle High School, Altoona. Father excelled and enjoyed working with and for the people of his parish communities. Family will receive friends from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday at Holy Name Catholic Church, Ebensburg, where vigil prayer services will be held at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Holy Name Church, the Rev. Monsignor Stanley Carson, celebrant, and various priests, concelebrants. Committal, Holy Name Cemetery, Ebensburg. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Holy Name School Angel Fund, in Father Bill's memory. Opening prayers for the reception of the body will be said at 2 p.m. Friday at the church.
