SCAIFE - Gary L., 60, Raceland, Ky., formerly of Mineral Point, died July 1, 2007, at VA Medical Center, W.Va. Born Oct. 10, 1946, in Johnstown, son of the late Edward and Mary (Hoffman) Scaife. Preceded in death by father-in-law, Theadore Skibo. Survived by wife, the former Carole E. Skibo, Raceland, Ky.; children, Brian D. C.O.T.A. (Maryann), Conneville; Aaron L. M.D. (Lyn), Ironton, Ohio; and Amy Scaife, New Brighton McGuire Memorial Hospital; grandchildren, Allison and Ryan Scaife; sister, Janet (Ken) Mervine, Maryland; and many nieces and nephews. He was a plant manager for Pennzoil and was in the U.S. Marines. Member of Masons, Cambria Lodge, Ebensburg; Johnstown Rifle and Pistol Club; South Fork Rifle Club; AARP; and life member of DAV. Gary loved his grandchildren and went to all their events. He enjoyed woodworking, golf and shooting his guns. Memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Bowser-Ondriezek Funeral Home, Nanty Glo, with the Rev. Dan Richter officiating. Interment to follow in EUB Cemetery, Belsano. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to DAV, 3725 Alexandria Pike, Cold Springs, Ky. 41076.
