DeYULIS - Carmen, 81, Ebensburg, died July 7, 2007, in Ebensburg. Born June 4, 1926, in Vintondale, daughter of George and Ella (Petrilla) Berdomas. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Dino; and infant daughter, Maria. Survived by these children: Linda, wife of Michael Williams, Manheim; Patricia, wife of Dr. Eric Hicks; Carl "Buddy," married to the former Tammy Tobey, both of Ebensburg; and Francesca, wife of Rick Hardison, Plano, Texas; grandchildren, Michael, Melissa, Matthew, Erika, Kyle, Kasey, Kurtis, Karlee and Cody, and five great-grandchildren. Sister of Margaret Russell, Nanty Glo; Mary Orsini, Levittown; Katherine Soyka, Nanty Glo; Delores Kopenits, Vintondale; George, Levittown; Joseph, Nanty Glo; and Donna DeRubis, Ebensburg. Also survived by special friends, Rosemary Persio, Carmella Persio and Maureen Dill. Carmen was a devoted mother, grandmother "Noni" and her greatest love was cooking for her family. She was a member of Ebensburg VFW Auxiliary Post 4963. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Matevish and Matevish Funeral Home, Ebensburg, where vigil wake services will be held Monday evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Name Catholic Church, Ebensburg, the Rev. Monsignor Arnold L. Gaus. Entombment, Holy Name Masoleum, Ebensburg.
