Obituary of Ryan R. Bishop

BISHOP - Ryan R., 25, Fairfax, Va., formerly of Ebensburg, died July 8, 2007, in Virginia, Born May 3, 1982, in Altoona, son of Richard and Ann (Merriman) Bishop. Preceded in death by maternal grandparents, John and Louise Merriman; paternal grandfather, Charles Bishop; and aunt, Reynita. Survived by parents; brothers, Brandon and Seth, both at home; and these aunts and uncles, Charles and Julianne Bishop, and daughter, Alyssa; Ed and Sharee Bishop and family; and Francis and Mary Louise Blodgett, and her family, Stephanie and Mark DiPietro, and children, Chase and Blake and Randy and Lynda Merriman. Also special friends, Steve Bilko and Brock Link and many numerous friends. Graduate of Cambria Heights High School, Class of 2001, where he was the District 6 wrestling champion in 2001. Graduate of Slippery Rock University, Class of 2006, in business management and was the recipient of the George Mihalik Scholarship Award for football. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Matevish -- Matevish Funeral Home, Ebensburg, where vigil wake service will be held Thursday evening. Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Friday at Holy Name Catholic Church, Ebensburg, the Rev. Msgr. Arnold L. Gaus. Committal, Holy Name Cemetery, Ebensburg.
