JOHNSTON - Alice E., 90, Revloc, died Jan. 15, 2005, at Altoona Hospital. Born Dec. 19, 1914, in Patton, daughter of Lawrence and Elizabeth (Banfield) McGowan. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Harvey L.; grandson, David "Boots" Prazinko; brothers, Lawrence and Ernest; and sister-in-law, Katherine McGowan. Survived by children, Judith, wife of William Prazinko, Revloc; Harvey E. "Gene," married to former Anne Richardson, Ebensburg; John L. "Jack," married to former Annette McCahan, Revloc; grandchildren, Kevin Prazinko, Robert Prazinko, Susan Price, Douglas Johnston, Scott Johnston, Jill Johnston, Krista Kuhns, Diana Johnston and Cheri Johnston; and eight great-grandchildren. Sister of Harry McGowan, Nanty Glo, and sister-in-law, Emma McGowan, Nanty Glo. Formerly employed at Revloc Company Store and retired from Jamesway store, Ebensburg. Member of Revloc Presbyterian Church and the churches Woman's Association. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Matevish and Matevish Funeral Home, Ebensburg. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Revloc Presbyterian Church, the Rev. Dr. Stanley Bhasker officiating. Committal, Lloyd Cemetery, Ebensburg. Donations in Alice's memory may be made to Revloc Presbyterian Church.
